Naomi and I would like to invite you to join us in London for the next Transform MedEd conference in the Spring of 2020.
Last year’s Transform MedEd was a tremendous success. Not only did we have three times as many delegates as we had anticipated but they were from all the corners of the globe. Furthermore their feedback was excellent!
As the leads for two Medical Schools on opposite sides of the globe we are constantly struck by the similarities of the challenges we face. In particular the questions that dominate our discussions about the future of medical education. Questions such as: What should a doctor be taught? How should they be educated so that they can help solve the medical problems that we shall face in 20 years? How much should technology play a part? What are the attributes and behaviours that patients wish to see? How much of the traditional curriculum should be retained? How do we teach all this in systems which are stressed by shortages of manpower and money?
Transform MedEd is a conference series that was launched last year in Singapore. Its purpose is to provide a platform on which global educational challenges, the questions we are all asking, can be discussed within the context of trying to find local solutions.
We are really looking forward to seeing you in London in the Spring at Transform MedEd 2020.
