Conference game: Edventure

Picture of map and compass
Are you equipped for your Transform MedEd adventure?

Attending a conference is a journey of exploration – you will encounter interesting people and make new discoveries. The conference venue, the Royal Geographical Society, has been responsible for some of the greatest expeditions in the history of humankind. It has inspired the conference game, Edventure. Why have a conference game? It’s a fun way to interact in new ways with fellow delegates, learn more about the conference venue, and get the most out of the conference programme. The game is designed to enhance your experience of the conference as well as showcasing how games can be used in education.

Participation is free and optional for all conference delegates.

Pre-conference game: Medical Monopoly

Picture of Monopoly game
Medical Monopoly is a game in which players visit museums, exhibitions and galleries around South Kensington to answer site-specific questions about medical exhibits. Teams accumulate virtual money through providing correct answers to questions, accomplishing creative challenges on Chance Cards (if you choose to risk it!), and engaging in Community Chest tasks.

  • Thursday 10th November, 13:00 - 17:00
  • To play costs £15 per person which includes light refreshments before the game.
  • Players sign up as individuals and are allocated to a team. It’s a great way to meet conference delegates before the conference starts.
  • The venues all have wheelchair access and we’ll make reasonable adjustments to the game to accommodate any disabilities.
  • There are 40 places available. Sign up when registering and we’ll send you further details ahead of the conference.
